Yearning for the Sea, 2013
Yearning for the Sea
The idea is to simulate the wave and sound of the sea by the antennas’ undulating and the radios’ white noise respectively.
Meanwhile, the sense of form from the large number of radios reflects the imposing
character of the sea.
The project is created by arduino. It interacts with audiences when they come close
to the infrared sensor in it.
In total, 1000 antennas and 326 transistor radios are used.
In this project, the radio represents the expectation and feeling of the sea. The
audience experiences the atmosphere of going towards better situations.
